Public Transportation

The 38 Geary from downtown San Francisco stops at either 20th or 22nd Avenue. This is the same in either direction on Geary Blvd.

Driving Directions

From the North: The very first exit off the Golden Gate Bridge in the far right hand lane is what you want to enter. It will say Highway 1 South. Almost immediately you will go through a tunnel. On the other side of the tunnel Highway 1 South becomes Park Presidio. Follow this road to Geary Blvd. and turn right onto Geary Blvd. At 21st Avenue and Geary there is ample metered and un-metered street parking as well as a parking lot across the street from my office. The door to my office is blue with a punch in code I will give you at the time of our appointment.

From the South: Take the 280 exit to Highway 1 North. This will also be called 19th Avenue. Follow Highway 1/19th Ave. thru Golden Gate Park where it curves around and emerges on the other side of the park as (you guessed it!), Park Presidio. Follow Highway 1/19th Ave/Park Presidio to Geary Blvd. You cannot turn left on Geary Blvd. so go one block further north and make a series of right hand turns until you are facing Geary Blvd. Turn right onto Geary Blvd. and proceed to 21st Ave. and Geary Blvd.

My office is directly off of the waiting room.

From 280 North or South: Take the Page Mill exit towards downtown Palo Alto. Follow Page Mill for approximately two miles to where it intersects with Middlefield Road. Turn left onto Middlefied Road and proceed to 555 Middlefield Road.

Making an Appointment

Please leave a voice message or e-mail me so we can have an initial telephone conversation to see if I can be of service to you and if your needs are within the scope of my practice.

You can leave a confidential voicemail message for me at either my San Francisco (415-386-0275) or Palo Alto (650-261-6490) office numbers.

When leaving a voice mail please speak slowly and clearly when leaving me your telephone number or numbers. It would also be helpful to include the best times to reach you.

I will make every effort to return your call or e-mail within 24 hours of receiving them.

Office Hours

San Francisco:

Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Noon to 7:00pm.

Palo Alto:

Mondays - Thursdays, 9:00am to 7:00pm

Later or earlier times are available upon request. I also have appointment hours available on Friday or Saturday mornings by special arrangement.

My standard fee is $210.00/hr. for a 50 minute therapy hour. The fee is the same for individuals or couples. My standard fee applies to individuals or couples with a combined income of $90,000.00/year or more.

Seniors (over age 65), students, and individuals or couples on a low income may request a fee adjustment. To the extent that we can come to a mutually agreed upon payment plan or fee schedule, I am willing to negotiate my standard fee. My philosophy is that I want to work with you on a basis that is comfortable and agreeable to both of us.

You are expected to pay for services at the time they are rendered, unless other arrangements have been made. Please notify me if any problems arise during the course of your therapy regarding your ability to make timely payments.

If I cannot accommodate you, either because of time constraints or lack of a mutually agreeable payment plan, I will make every effort to refer you to an appropriate individual, agency or organization.

Insurance Reimbursement

Individuals or couples who carry insurance should remember that professional services are rendered and charged to you and not to the insurance company.

I will provide you with a receipt which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. If the insurance company has forms for me to complete, be certain to give them to me at your earliest convenience.

In instances where extraordinary professional time is required, you may incur additional fees.

Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time specifically for you, a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for rescheduling or cancellation of an appointment.

The full fee will be charged for missed sessions without such notification.

All information disclosed within sessions is confidential and may not be disclosed to anyone without written permission except where disclosure is required by law.

Disclosure my be required in the following circumstances:
